Rutebeskrivelse

Along the Mekong on the west side. Two hidden temples along the way and a nice bridge. The Chan Nua village is worth the trip too.

Mekong crossing

As usual 5000 kips per crossing. Very convenient.

Abandoned temple

There are two large Stella's on the site with Japanese inscriptions. I assume there are WWII memorial monuments for Japanese soldiers

A water cistern

Nothing to see here. The way a worker up there who thwarted my exploration attempt.

Just a humble dwelling along the river

Chan Nua

Cute village with a port and nice temple. This is the place to go to see for chickens and roosters, the place is filled with them. Pottery stores too, but I didn't stop there.

Another abandoned temple

Even more abandoned than the first one. A strange place with a lonely Buddha in a decrepit building.

An old vacation resort

A large vacation resort that has been closed for a long time. Somebody must still be living there since there is a vegetable garden.
