Rutebeskrivelse
Easy wadi family hike with moderate-level ascents and descents. Care required due to loose rock at the mountain pass.
Start along Spider Trail, with a turn off and climb to a viewpoint of a farm on one side.
Follow a goat trail back down into the valley and ascend to a mountain pass on the other side. Once you've crossed over and descended, it is an easy wadi hike to the beautiful 17th century Halla Village.
Some cairns at the turn-offs help guide the way.
And please remember to be respectful especially around the ruins:
"Take nothing but pictures.
Leave nothing but footprints.
Kill nothing but time." ~John Kay

Waypoints

This cairn marks the best place to traverse the pass to continue back onto the second wadi leading to Halla Village.

Halla Village
17th Century ruins (marked on Google maps as the "Forgotten Village"). There are no signs or barriers protecting the areas, so please as always, do be respectful and explore with care. Such an incredibly serene, clean and peaceful site. Quite common to find broken pieces of pottery around.

Parking
If you have a 4x4, easy to get closer to the trailhead. Otherwise, park at the electrical tower and walk in.

Thank you for this track, we did it and loved it! The sceneries are astonishing, I would recommend you to go with trecking shoes because a lot of up and down on the mountain, took us 3hours because we took time to visit the abandon village👍
Ah, wonderful!! ❤
Easy parking ?
Yes. If you have a 4x4, you can drive down into the valley, closer to the trailhead. Otherwise, parking under the electrical tower and hiking in the short distance is no problem.
Thank you !
Hope you enjoy it 😊

Nice hike. Quite diverse areas and ways of hiking. We hike frequently, but some parts where more difficult for our youngest (7yo)
