Rutebeskrivelse
We began our walk in the Kazimierz district of Kraków, heading towards Wawel Hill. Along the way, we passed the Royal Castle and enjoyed views over the Vistula River from the scenic riverside boulevards. From there, we made our way through the Planty Park — a green belt surrounding the Old Town — and reached the Main Market Square, where we visited the Cloth Hall and St. Mary’s Basilica.
The route continued through the charming cobbled streets towards the Florian Gate and the Barbican, before looping back through quieter corners of the Old Town. The circular route covered all the main highlights of Kraków’s historic centre, connecting Kazimierz, Wawel, the Market Square and Planty into one diverse and enjoyable city walk.
The total distance was approximately 10.4 km, offering a rich experience of Kraków’s royal landmarks, hidden alleys, and vibrant cultural atmosphere.
