Rutebeskrivelse
The nature trail starts just outside the donkey farm and is signposted. It is located a Kilometer away from the village of Kathikas, southwest on the road to Peyia. From there you have a very nice view of the whole area including the picturesque coastline of Paphos. We walked from there to the lowest point of the valley ca 800 m found the Agiasma stone build fountain which usually has drinkable water. Unfortunately today there was no water. I believe because we had little rain so far this year. After seeing the fountain we left this trail and continued westward along the cliffs and hiked up to the plateau. Along the plateau a large number of different wild flowers and asparagus decorated the fields. Along this route you have constantly spectacular views facing the sea on the right hand side and on the left hand side nice views over the valleys and mountains until you reach the village Akoursos. On our return we had to walk fairly long along the road but experienced some fabulous sunset views. This trail is mostly unshaded.
