Rutebeskrivelse
A hike together with Christian and Isolde following a route they had done several times. We caught the RB55 train from München Hbf to Geitau to the start. Then at the end, the 352 bus from Birkenstein to Miesbach and the RB55 train back.
There are two nice alms on route, Kesseralm and a smaller one, Huburtusalm, which is close to the summit.
The summit of Breitenstein is at 1622m and has a wonderful 360 degree view.
The hike is all off road on a mixture of gravel tracks and rocky paths. The first part is through woods, but then it opens out to rock and grassland.
