My gps gadget didn't record the path quite right. The starting and ending points should be the same. This entire hike is enjoyable, but it becomes really nice when you reach the ridges above the bowl surrounding Crystal Lake. Along the ridges, you can see the far into the San Gabriel Wilderness. (And of course enjoy the fresh air and big pine trees!)
