To take the cable car to go from Chamonix up to Aiguille du Midi is an unique experience. In a few minutes one moves from 1000 m to 3800 m and stares in the face of Mont Blanc. Moving... The view is tremendous... Pity that at the time we went there the Plan de l'Aiguille had yet too much snow to allow hiking... A fantastic experience in any case.
