Very scenic track up in the mountains of the Reykjanes peninsula. The route takes you along a mountain ridge on the north side of Kleifarvatn. There's a bit of hike ´n bike and some cool descends but nothing too technical.
The way back on this track is along a good gravel road but its also possible to go back through the lava field via an old folkway along the flat lava rocks. A route well worth exploring.
Wikiloc is lacking a proper rating system so I decided to give it my own:

Fór þessa leið í leiðinlegu veðri, þannig að útsýnið var ekkert, hafði því hugsað mér að fara þetta aftur. Einnig var blautt og sökk hjólið svolítið mikið á köflum.

Svær
Geggjuð leið fyrir góða hjólara á góðum degi. Við drusluðumst öfugan hring, höfðum helling fyrir því í grjóti og sandi, giljum og öldum en höfðum líka gaman af í frábæru veðri og útsýni.
